Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy explains which personal data SOLUCIONES DE ÚLTIMA TECNOLOGÍA SOUTEC, C.A. (“Soutec”) processes through this website, soutec.ai: what data it collects, what it uses it for, who it shares it with and how you can exercise your rights. It applies only to the website; the services Soutec provides to its clients are governed by their own contracts.

Who is responsible for your data

SOLUCIONES DE ÚLTIMA TECNOLOGÍA SOUTEC, C.A., located at Edificio Procter & Gamble (Torre Wave Tech Hub), Mezzanine level, La Trinidad, Caracas 1083, Venezuela.

For any question about this policy or about your data, write to us at contacto@soutec.ai or call us at +58 212 709 37 11 (Venezuela) or +1 305 928 60 98 (United States).

What data we collect

When you write to us through the contact form

  • Your name, your job title and your work email.
  • The area of interest you choose and what you tell us about your challenge.
  • The language and the page you write from and, if the link that brought you has them, its campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content).

To check that the email belongs to a company, we ask whether its domain receives email (its MX record) through Cloudflare’s public DNS service and, if it does not answer, Google’s. Only the domain is looked up, never the full address. We do not accept emails from free or disposable providers.

To protect the form

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that whoever sends the form is a person and not an automated program. To do so, Cloudflare analyzes technical signals from the browser and the device, such as your IP address.
  • To limit how many submissions are accepted per hour from the same connection, we store a fingerprint of your IP address (its SHA-256 hash), never the address itself, along with the time of the submission.

When you browse the site

  • Technical data. As with any website, the servers that publish it (Cloudflare) receive your IP address, the browser you use, the page you request and the time, to show you the site and protect it from attacks.
  • Analytics. If you accept it, or if you do not reject it depending on your region (see “Cookies and analytics”), Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record the pages you visit, how you arrived, how long you stay, your type of device and browser, your approximate location (country or city, from the IP) and how you interact with the pages: clicks, scrolling and cursor movements. Clarity can replay those interactions as a recording of the visit; what you type in the form is hidden in those recordings.

What we use your data for

  • To answer your request and follow up commercially: Soutec’s team receives an email notice with the form’s data and replies to your email.
  • To prevent spam and abuse of the form.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, only with the analytics you allow.
  • To comply with the legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell your data or use it for personalized advertising: the site denies Google every advertising permission.

Who we share it with

We work with providers that process data on Soutec’s behalf, only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: stores the form’s requests in a database in the United States.
  • Resend: sends the notice of each request to Soutec’s sales team.
  • Cloudflare: publishes the site, serves its photos and videos, protects the form with Turnstile and answers the lookup of the email’s domain.
  • Google: Google Analytics, for analytics, and its public DNS, when Cloudflare’s does not answer.
  • Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity, for analytics.
  • Avila Tek, the company that develops and maintains the site, which may access the data to provide technical support.

Outside these cases, we only share data with authorities when a law or a court order requires it.

International transfers

Several of these providers process data outside Venezuela, mainly in the United States. Each one applies its own security measures and data processing terms.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses two kinds: those necessary for it to work, which cannot be turned off, and analytics cookies, which depend on your choice.

Your choice

  • The first time you visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject analytics cookies.
  • If your browser’s time zone is in Europe, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the site measures nothing until you accept. Everywhere else, it measures until you reject. The region is inferred from the browser’s time zone, not from your IP address.
  • If you reject, the site does not load Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
  • You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page. The site remembers it for 6 months; after that it asks you again.

Necessary cookies

  • soutec_lang (soutec.ai cookie, 1 year): remembers the language you chose.
  • soutec_consent (browser local storage, 6 months): remembers your choice about analytics.

Analytics: Google Analytics

  • _ga (2 years): tells one visitor from another.
  • _ga_<ID> (2 years): keeps the state of the visit.

Analytics: Microsoft Clarity

  • _clck (1 year): identifies your browser in Clarity and keeps its settings.
  • _clsk (1 day): links the pages you see in a single visit.
  • CLID, MUID, MR, ANONCHK and SM (from 10 minutes to 1 year): cookies Microsoft stores on its own domains (clarity.ms and bing.com) for Clarity to work.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the necessary ones, the site will not remember your language and will show you the banner again.

How long we keep your data

  • The form’s requests, as long as they are needed to assist you and maintain the business relationship, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • The fingerprint of your IP address is only used to count the submissions of the current hour.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months; Microsoft Clarity data, for the periods Microsoft sets.
  • Cloudflare’s technical logs, for the limited time Cloudflare sets.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Know what data we hold about you, what we use it for and who we share it with.
  • Correct it if it is incomplete or out of date.
  • Delete it.
  • Stop using it for a specific purpose.
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics, under “Cookie preferences”.

Write to us at contacto@soutec.ai from the email you used in the form, so we can confirm the request is yours. We reply within 5 business days.

In Venezuela, these rights are recognized in articles 28 and 60 of the Constitution. If you are in another country, you also have the rights its law gives you, including the right to complain to its data protection authority.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). The form’s requests are stored in a database with no public access, which only authorized people at Soutec and Avila Tek can enter.

Minors

The site is aimed at companies and professionals. It is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page, with its update date at the top.
